A glass greenhouse reading corner that fits on a bookshelf.

This book nook is built as a small conservatory: a white timber frame, clear panels on the roof and sides, and an interior full of wisteria, potted plants and flowers. Inside there is a rattan armchair with a checked cushion, a reading lamp, a little staircase and a side window that actually opens. Two separate lights, one in the roof and a floor lamp, switch on with a single touch, and the clear panels let the glow show from every angle.

Clear sides make a difference

I can see the room from beside my desk instead of having to look straight into the front.

A gardener's indoor project

Spent a rainy day arranging miniature flowers when I couldn't work in the yard.

Mother's craft afternoon

Mom chose the chair placement to admire from her favorite seat. She really enjoyed this one.

Wisteria above a reading spot

This combines my love of plants and books without needing another actual watering schedule.

A miniature sunroom wish

We don't have room for a real conservatory, so I built the small version instead.

Fourteen kinds of flowers

I enjoyed the variety of plants. It kept the decorating stages from feeling repetitive.

Lots of floral detail

The room appealed to me, but arranging so many miniature flowers turned out to be fussier than I enjoy.

Keep fingerprints off the panels

I had to handle the clear surfaces carefully while assembling. They look lovely once tidy.
